The cap was the right one for my vehicle, but refused to “snap in” like all of the online videos say it’s “so easy” to do. The tabs broke off and the cap refused to fit onto the housing. Same thing happened to the cap that came with the housing replacement piece I bought (the piece with the mirror included). Both caps had the tabs break off when trying to “easily install it by snapping it on”. Apparently I’m not the only one that couldn’t figure it out. Video comments said they struggled too.
