    The unit does work with a 2017 Jetta contrary to the compatibility chart. It took some figuring out but you don't need to use the wiring harness adapter provided as the pin configuration is the same as the stock head unit. The radio antenna adapter cable provided does not work, for some reason the dual to single fakra cable only has one of the leads wired. I found and purchased a substitute on Amazon and it worked immediately. Overall it is a great product. Android Auto is a game changer.
