The pictures didn’t show that the leather surface over the top of the foot of the boots were very wrinkled & stretched out from someone with a big instep or fat feet. I had a pair of these same boots I wore for 10 years and never had any wrinkling or stretching of the top surface of the foot. So for the reason that the pictures made the boots look less wrinkled across the top I’d have to say they were a little deceptive. The soles and heels were great (which was where my old ones fell apart).
