Question is whether or not this particular example is a genuine period piece, say eighty years old, or is it a recent production run off of someone's embroidery machine? I'm happy enough either way but would be delighted to learn that this one was made way back in the 1940s, right around the time my father was getting his Navy tail gunner's training in Norman, Oklahoma. One of those in the collection would be a real treat. Outstanding shipping time too.Reply from: catalinaflier- Feedback replied by seller catalinaflier.- Feedback replied by seller catalinaflier. We purchased these as genuine originals. I have a few old ones in various sizes (my Dad trained there, too), and I compared these. They are correct in every minute detail, as well as the materials, so we assume they are new old stock, stashed away somewhere for many years. In all my handling of these over the years, I have never seen one that was sold as a reproduction - doesn't mean there aren't any, just never saw one. We believe them to be genuine. Even the museum at Purcell, OK doesn't sell
