    Replaced the timing belts on a 1983 Honda GL1100 with 77,000 miles on it. Bought the bike used and felt better safe that sorry, so replaced belts. I am glad I did, as the previous mechanic used the wrong timing mark to align the crank with the cam markings. They were off one tooth on both cams. Bike ran OK, but best to have it spot on.
