It could have just been from shipping but it had some yellow sticky stuff on the mag safe connector. The connector was protected because it had a plastic cover so all is well and it works as intended.

I made the mistake of not paying full attention to specs of it so after I received it and noticed MY mistake, I contacted seller in hopes of an exchange for exactly what I needed. After a couple weeks of being told that it would work, despite what I told them and they didn't even know what the part was for, I gave up and kept it. They may sell great products, but I won't try from them again.
