Synopsis
Coastal zones are critical multiple-use resources, under pressure from constant demands from different sources - conservation, economic growth and social welfare. This book identifies the dilemmas of managing conservation and development in coastal areas. It offers important information on the management, conservation and social implications of coastal resources. The authors present a variety of participatory methods and techniques that can be used to show the success or otherwise of the different uses and how they affect the users. Their interdisciplinary analysis draws upon scientific knowledge as well as the latest social science insights on property rights and governance. The book is intended for researchers and students in geography, development studies and environmental planning, and also for practitioners in natural resource management and coastal zone management.

- i***i (99)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseItem condition didn't match description at all. The book looked like it did it's own tour in Vietnam. Worse it had mold on page edges. It definitely is not very good. If you are selling books then learn how to accurately rate the condition. The rating isn't what you wish it to be. Worst review I have ever had to give and I avoid giving negative feedback.
- w***m (132)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseSeller never shipped the item - a cd box set - but would not send another of the same item that they had listed and was still active on ebay at a MUCH higher price. I received a refund, but did not receive what was promised even though the seller had the ability and duplicate item to do so. Beware if this seller ships to you Untracked - this means they screwed up, and will not deliver the product - you will eventually have to go to them for a refund.
