<h2>Jaime Hernandez</h2><p>From 1965 - 1968 the U.S. Mint did not produce proof sets and instead, produced special Mint Sets or Special Strike coins that were struck in specially prepared planchets. The coins looked much better than circulation strike coins but not as sharp as proof struck coins. 1966 Special Strike Jefferson Nickels can easily be obtained with the exception of SP68 condition examples or higher.
