It had been used and it was broken, one of the 3 articulating sockets had a stripped thread, so it was impossible to tighten it up. I found this when trying it out on the evening before my 2-night 400-miles round trip to London for a booked appointment at a national art gallery to photograph ancient documents. What could I do? Finally, I found that I could hold that articulating joint together by using a metal clamp. 2 for sale, so faulty returns?
