2/5 – Disappointing Quality for a High-End Tea This tea was a letdown. The first steep was extremely dirty, with lots of dust and sediment. Even by the third infusion, the liquor stayed cloudy, and an unappealing foamy residue kept forming in the gaiwan. For a tea that’s supposed to be high-grade, I expected a much cleaner and more refined experience. Unfortunately, this one didn’t deliver.

Truly Impressive Roasted Taiwan Oolong This Taiwanese oolong delivers a beautifully rich and multi-layered experience. On the dry leaf, I noticed a warm nutty aroma with subtle roasting notes. The liquor infuses to a deep red hue and tastes sweet with caramel, ripe red fruit, and gentle honey undertones — exactly what you’d hope for from a roasted guifei style oolong.
