Item was in pretty good condition. It definitely needed a new grip as stated in the listing. It was, however, not really optional as the purple on the handle came off all over our hands, and the floor where the racquet was laid down. I wish I would have known that part ahead of time, because it made a big mess and could have saved us a headache. That said, some new tape solved the problem and it's good to go now!
