Pro: this is a very handy stand--folds up to nothing in my mandolin case, is easy to open up, can accomodate several different instruments, and is made of high quality plastic/nylon and looks good. The con is that the joints could be sturdier--when you set an instrument in it, the stand has flex to it that it probably shouldn't. Overall, I'm pleased, and this should make a good addition to jamming or on stage.
