Synopsis
Barbara Kafka has been shaping the way America cooks for three decades. She's doing it again. With her customary originality, thoroughness, and passion for great cooking, Barbara Kafka has created the cook's ultimate vegetable resource: 750 original recipes showcasing everything she adores about the vegetable world, from the lowly green bean to the exotic chrysanthemum leaf--even stretching the definition to include potatoes, mushrooms, and avocados just because she's crazy mad for them. Her love of vegetables shows in every dish, each impeccably researched, consistently foolproof, and put to the Kafka taste test. Among these delectable dishes are dozens of essays, including personal reflections on the garden and migrations in the vegetable world, for example; all are erudite and unfailingly entertaining. Kafka's book within a book--an at-a-glance, we've-done-all-the-work-for-you Cook's Guide--provides practical, encyclopedic information on how to buy, measure, substitute, and prepare every food that ever called itself a vegetable., Kafka has created the cook's ultimate vegetable resource: 750 original recipes showcasing everything from the lowly green bean to the exotic chrysanthemum leaf, even stretching the definition to include potatoes, mushrooms, and avocados., Barbara Kafka has been shaping the way America cooks for three decades. One of the best experiences I have had with Ebay! I asked several questions, and they all were answered. I made requests for more pictures and the response was fast with no questions asked! Packaging was exceptional, no damage at all to the book, the book was better than described, and the shipping was amazingly fast! I highly recommend this ebayer to those who want great customer service, and complete satisfaction with your transaction! Thank you for being an ebayer that I can trust!

I have this cookbook, but it has been used so much that I wore it out. So I bought a new one! Item as described, EXTREMELY well-packaged, received fast, great transaction with b4red.books. Excellent cookbook with a great variety of recipes, and I haven’t found one that I did not like. Family favorites—Garlic Chicken bundles (very easy and delicious, but can be prepped in advance), Broccoli Cheese Soup, French salad dressing (best I’ve ever had, recipe from Janet Dailey), many more! Great value!
