I replaced a shimano ultegra and it is only like 5 grams less. so, if your only goal is to loose weight.... you could do better on other components. I will say it looks cool and it is just as smooth as the ultegra, so far anyway. shipping was fast. Description was accurate. I dont regret the purchase.
