About this product
Product Information
Second book in the enthralling 'Shadows of the Apt' series of epic fantasies. Two young companions, Totho and Salma, arrive at Tark to spy on the menacing Wasp army, but are there mistakenly apprehended as enemy agents. By the time they are freed, the city is already under siege. Over in the imperial capital the young emperor, Alvdan, is becoming captivated by a remarkable slave, the vampiric Uctebri, who claims he knows of magic that can grant eternal life. In Collegium, meanwhile, Stenwold is still trying to persuade the city magnates to take seriously the Wasp Empire's imminent threat to their survival. In a colourful drama involving mass warfare and personal combat, a small group of heroes must stand up against what seems like an unstoppable force. This volume continues the story that so brilliantly unfolded in Empire in Black and Gold ' and the action is still non-stop.

- e***d (92)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseChiron media provide a great service. It arrived promptly in decent condition considering the edition. There was a small issue with the advertised edition of the book and the one I received. However when I spoke to the seller, they were courteous, understanding and were equitable in their approach to resolving my query. This book was great value for money. I would definitely recommend the quality service provided by this seller.
- b***r (661)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseExcellent experience, these are probably the best large bookseller warehouse on eBay , their customer service is personal and responsive and they endeavour to make sure the buyers experience is a good one . Despatched promptly, and this time it was a paperback so it was ok in a polythene envelope. If you are purchasing a heavy hardback , I suggest contacting them in advance, and hopefully they will have implemented robust cardboard packaging to ensure it doesn't get damaged in the post.
- 5***s (493)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseGoods as described and good communication thanks. Royal Mail let the seller down by not delivering on time. Royal mail messaged me on three different days to say the goods out for delivery but never turned up. Post persons apparently pick and choose when and what they want to deliver in a rural area. No fault of seller.
