That means that it addresses the moral imperative right where it meets the secular law. If we are truly a nation of laws, in which the the laws are representative of the people, as in the original design of America, then we had better be a "good" people, if we are to have "good" law. Either the law we have is the law we made, or, either we, or our representative government, have been corrupted. Maybe both. The purpose of the book is to highlight untruth that is widely believed, in hope of pointing the way back to individual and national redemption.
