The pen was advertised as new. It was definitely not new as black ink was dried in the nib of the fountain pen. I googled techniques to repair it and found that if you soak it hot water for 24 hours and then use a baby aspirator to blow out the nib, you can clear the dried ink from the nib. I did this and all during the 24 hour soaking, ink would leak out of the nib. This is how I was able to clear the dried ink out of the nib and now the pen works, it was advertised as new, but it was not
