You offered the original box which really made this a cool collectors item, but then went and wrapped packing tape all over the box and pretty much ruined it. I was appreciative that you didn't want the glass sliding all over but you didn't have to use that much tape or could have wrapped it in saran wrap to protect the integrity of the box. However, the glass is beautiful and in pristine condition.

Yes. Original box was to show that it is not a fake item. It had water damage and even some odor. You should have ask/tell me that you want it preserved. The tape we used is a paper tape that easily comes off with a hairdryer. Was never a problem with other collectors.
