This double-feature pairs two classic 1940s westerns starring silver-screen legend Roy Rogers. BELLS OF SAN ANGELO: In this action-packed western, Roy plays a border investigator aided by a western novelist, Lee Madison (Dale Evans), in catching a group of smugglers. Rex Gridley (John McGuire) owns a worthless mine, but has found a way to make a profit by mining silver along the border in Mexican and then smuggling it into his own operation. Investigator Lee catches onto the plan, but Gridley kidnaps her when she tries to stop him. Can Trigger save her before it's too late? Songs include "Hot Lead" and "I Like to Get up Early in the Morning."UNDER CALIFORNIA STARS: Roy and his pals at the Double-R-Bar Ranch go after a shady gang of horse thieves. In an action-packed episode, Roy and Trigger head to the ranch in preparation for an anniversary broadcast. But on arrival, Roy finds chaos. First of all, Cookie has hired all his relatives. But worse yet, a gang has been hunting range horses. Roy immediately stops the hunting on his land. But then Trigger is kidnapped! Can Roy straighten things out and restore order?
