I had to cut away some of the part in order to make it fit. It was also bowed and so I had to heat it and hold it down against the windshield, then park it in the sun to try to get the part to relax and lay down against the windshield properly. This occurred on my 1996 Chevy G10 van. The description stated that it fit model years 1996 through 2007.
