These are not south sea shell pearls. They are lightweight coated plastic. South sea shell pearls are crushed oyster shells which are compressed and then coated, they have a little weight to them. These are a very lightweight plastic. I have bought beautiful south sea shell pearls in the past from different sellers and these are nowhere near the same!
