The Seagate Momentus 5400.3 Hard Drive is a high-performance internal hard drive with a high-shock tolerance. Designed to withstand 350 Gs of operating shock and 900 Gs of nonoperating shock, this drive is ideal for industrial applications as well as PC laptops. This hard drive works best with mainstream laptops, tablet PCs, MP3 players, printers, and copiers. This Seagate hard drive also contains the 3D Defense System—Drive Defense, Data Defense, and Diagnostic Defense—providing comprehensive protection. The Seagate Momentus also uses an FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) motor for quiet operation.With 5400 RPM, the Seagate Momentus gets almost 50 percent higher performance and productivity than its predecessor, which ran at 4200 RPM. Using a SATA cable, the hard drive’s external transfer rate (information that is transferred between the drive and the PC) is 100–150 MBps. This Seagate hard drive’s internal data transfer rate is 44 MBps. This internal hard drive holds up to 60 GB of information.
