Seller was aware of the defect but did not disclose, did not accept request for partial refund, only politely suggested I get it framed at my own expense. Since the dimensions are unusual it will have to be a custom job, which will cost more than the painting did. Seller was polite but did not budge. Price was still fair for what it is, however buyers should exercise caution and be sure of they are buying.Reply from: 2118doctor- Feedback replied by seller 2118doctor.- Feedback replied by seller 2118doctor.A warp in the original stretcher, a common occurrence in antique paintings, was observed in this work. However, such distortion can often be corrected by placing the painting into a carefully aligned frame and securely fixing it in place, without re-stretching the canvas. However, the tape was likely of poor quality and came off during transit. The watch was not damaged. The buyer did not provide any evidence of poor packaging.
