Got these for a slide viewer, brighter than the old bulbs, but a tight fit - I had to use pliers to screw one in, and I was worried it might break if I gripped it too hard. The other thing to worry about is making sure that the batteries are the right way round - unlike old-style torch bulbs, these have to be connected negative to the outer casing and positive to the central pin. Not difficult, but something to remember.
