I was wrong it's all machined aluminum and very very well built even the level is filled with a relatively thick oil that allows the bubble to move slowly for accurate reading but not too slow actually about perfect. I've very pleased and highly recommended it for long term use.

I'd suggest to the seller that to ship something as precise and heavy as 123 blocks that there packaging was by no means adequate. Obviously, since the product was nowhere to be found.
