They've crimped the ferrule on and you have to cut it off to feed it through whatever bracket you want to mount in the cab. Plus you'll probably have to shorten it a lot if you plan on using this in a 2nd gen.

While the adapters don't fit a Mustang rack and pinion, they can be 'adjusted' to fit. I purchased this (for parts) to allow me to make a 'mockup' line that will fit so that I can have one fabricated for direct fit. As setup, it fits (and looks) far better than the factory (improper design causes leakage) and aftermarket replacements. V/R Chris
