My experience with under gauged wire is that the moisture rots it out in a year or two. It's difficult to splice into & the insulation sticks to the wire making it hard to strip w/o loosing strands of wire. It's 20g or less fine wire. Most cameras I've dealt with have thicker gauged wire.
