"There have been many, and many good, books about the old Santa Fe trail, the trappers and the traders and the ''mountain men'' who preceded them, but none to match the blend of narrative power, pictorial sense, scrupulous scholarship and awareness of the great American melodrama that mark Bent''s Fort."Lewis Gannett,New York Herald Tribune, ""There have been many, and many good, books about the old Santa Fe trail, the trappers and the traders and the 'mountain men' who preceded them, but none to match the blend of narrative power, pictorial sense, scrupulous scholarship and awareness of the great American melodrama that mark Bent's Fort.""--Lewis Gannett, New York Herald Tribune, "There have been many, and many good, books about the old Santa Fe trail, the trappers and the traders and the 'mountain men' who preceded them, but none to match the blend of narrative power, pictorial sense, scrupulous scholarship and awareness of the great American melodrama that mark Bent's Fort."-Lewis Gannett, New York Herald Tribune, "There have been many, and many good, books about the old Santa Fe trail, the trappers and the traders and the ''mountain men'' who preceded them, but none to match the blend of narrative power, pictorial sense, scrupulous scholarship and awareness of the great American melodrama that mark Bent''s Fort."-Lewis Gannett, New York Herald Tribune, "There have been many, and many good, books about the old Santa Fe trail, the trappers and the traders and the ''mountain men'' who preceded them, but none to match the blend of narrative power, pictorial sense, scrupulous scholarship and awareness of the great American melodrama that mark Bent''s Fort."-Lewis Gannett,New York Herald Tribune

Synopsis
Bent's Fort was a landmark of the American frontier, a huge private fort on the upper Arkansas River in present southeastern Colorado. Established by the adventurers Charles and William Bent, it stood until 1849 as the center of the Indian trade of the central plains. David Lavender's chronicle of these men and their part in the opening of the West has been conceded a place beside the works of Parkman and Prescott.

- g***o (4)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseAs of the time of this review in 2025, I ordered and received a 2003 Lexus Owners Manual with leather jacket in pristine condition (even better than described :-), at a reasonable and competitive price, in a timely manner and well packaged. In addition, despite errors on my end, as buyer, I received prompt, friendly, professional and timely customer service from the seller, rectifying my error without complaint or taking advantage of me! 10 out of 10 stars!03 2003 Lexus ES 300/ES300 Owners Manual With Case and Inserts (#255827555349)
- y***9 (41)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseGot the parts and finally got around to installing them today. One of them is broken out of the box and they are not exactly the correct color but I thought they were the correct color when i ordered they were described as grey but not. I have included 2 pictures to show color difference and the broken part, with this part broken it will not stay in place. The original is on the right in both pictures. Parts arrived quickly and packaged well. I just delayed opening the box and installing.

The products where exactly as described for a fair price.92-96 Ford F150 F250 F350 Bronco Kick Panel Set Blue Driver & Passenger OEM (#256825438472)
