Perhaps capable of four tons but weighs nearly half of what our ten-year old 3.5 ton Napa Carlyle Jack weighs. Very light duty. Would not recommend for anything more than cars and 1/2 ton trucks. Would likely be unsafe for the Diesel truck service we frequently handle. Ended up selling it to a customer for his personal use. Cannot recommend this to anyone hoping to lift anything near four ton.
