Produced for, and originally aired on, cable's Turner Classic Movies, the documentary miniseries MOGULS & MOVIE STARS: A HISTORY OF HOLLYWOOD chronicles the gradual evolution of Tinseltown from the earliest Hollywood peep shows in 1889, through the rise of talking pictures, the evolution and then abolishment of the Hays Code, and the dawn of the "New Hollywood" at the outset of the 1960s - an era when the director became king. Along the way, the program sheds a light on innumerable individual careers and iconic films. This box set contains the entire seven-episode program.
