They are actually made of rubber or rubber-like material. The gold pieces decorating the hearts are either super lightweight metal or plastic pieces. Very flimsy. Not sure the backing/post will stay attached for long. The earrings are cute and were only $8. I plan to only wear these a couple of times with a specific outfit. Not a long lasting item though.
