Because it was a printer which had been packaged long ago (even if was NEW in the box), all 5 of the ink cartridges were bad. They all had leaked to some degree in the vacuum packaging and thus were not usable. I should have thought about that before agreeing to the posted price. Thanks. And oh by the way -- the printer works great.
