The device itself kind of sucks though: It can't be used automatically because each time you power it up, you need to click a button to start it. It also has really unstable output - every time you connect a load it drops down to an arbitrary voltage for probably a full second. This instability is even with 50W load and a stable input voltage. That's terrible for a supposed 900W unit. I also measured more like 81% efficiency instead of 85%.

Everything works at it should. The HEX string command set is head and shoulders above earlier versions in my case using a node.js server on a Raspberry Pi 2B Each relay is accessible with individual on-off commands and the relay board status command works independently and reliably. The relay action is positive in toggling on - off states. Very pleased.
