Continues the previous work of the authors on Basic Process Engineering Control and presents the main and conventional control loops in process industries. The book presents classic and advanced control solutions for processes in different process industries. Some very recent development reported in the series of seminars kept by e.g. ASPEN (The Self-Optimizing Plant: A New Era of Autonomy, Powered by Industrial AI), resulted in the inclusion of new aspects to the previous edition like desorption and filtrations control and a new chapter on complex manufacturing processes. It goes beyond the traditional field by applying the same principles to biomedical processes, energy production and management of environmental issues. The book explains all the determinations in "chemical systems" or "process systems", starting from the beginning of processes, going through the intricate interdependency of the process stages, analyzing hardware components of a control system, ending with designs of appropriate control systems tor one process parameter or a whole process. Essential knowledge of main aspects of modern process engineering and its application, thoroughly explained. Problems and exercises on each topic prodded. Case studies intended to cast light on more complex manufacturing processes.
