When I sent a second email, the seller asked me to contact Simplisafe again and they would replace the item. Luckily Simplisafe is replacing the item an no cost ( I was surprised as this was purchased thru a 3rd party) but this has left a negative impression in that the seller off loads their responsibilities to the manufacturer.
