It was listed as open box which means a brand new item that may have been a display, but otherwise unused. The box looked like it was dragged down a freeway, the mouse had some signs of use, and the batteries were only 60% of capacity. Hardly a new product. I could have gotten a brand new unopened box for less that $10 more. I gave the seller a chance to make it right before I left feedback, but there was no response to my message. Be wary of theis seller's "open box" or "new: Other" listings.
