I measured a current of about 0.63 amps drawn by this bulb which at 120 VRMS means that measured wattage drawn by this bulb is about 75 watts. The manufacturer ratting of 65 watts for this bulb is reasonably accurate. I am using it my large lamp in a 150 watt socket. This bulb requires the use of lamp shade.
