Item worked as advertised. Seller's instructions for use were accurate and useful. I had success with my Asus CX1700CKA (Jasper Lake "GALLOP"). Had to insert the debug board via Side B for serial /dev nodes to come up. At first `gsctool -a -o` did not change the CCD state to 'Opened', I had to repeat the entire lengthy procedure a second time, this time it worked. Only a FAT32-formatted USB stick worked for me for backing up the stock firmware when running the MrChromebox.tech script.
