The solid part appears to be a slightly different material and color. It is very close and very acceptable for my daily driver but if you need 100% exact match I would ask for a sample first. My upholstery guy said it was a little large in the carpet tail and required some trimming. THIS IS NOT A NEGATIVE REVIEW!! I just want to let you know how it worked for me. Overall I am very satisfied.
