It took me about 40 minutes to move all the components from the previous assembly to the new one, and I was quite suprised on how awesome the backlight is. I have had other palmrest / keyboards for this HP laptop over the years, and the backlight on this one is by far the best I have ever seen. It is very bright, and EVERY key is well lit. Even at the medium intensity setting, the keys are quite legible in a lit room.
