I was a stationary steam engineer, and i put 12 on a 4" furnace flue. It dropped 75 degrees and now i have a fan blowing the hot air out of my furnace room. Will put a 6" booster fan hooked to main fan, sending heat out of fan room. Do not let flue temp go lower that 250 if u have a steel stack. If u have a brick flue u need 250 out at the very top so water does condense inside. A old hvac guy who worked on oil furnace can help u.
