Item (fan motor) does not appear "new" as advertised. Box was worn, oil-marked, and squishy. Box had been opened. The 4 bolts holding motor together were loose and nuts were backed off. There was a circular indentation on the flat portion of shaft indicating that a fan blade had been previously installed. Insulation on neutral wire was cut in 2 locations almost to the copper conductor. Circular aluminum band that fits between motor body and mounting bracket was bent and distorted.
