Played it for a full 6 weeks and it's opening up like a flower. My local luthier has reviewed it and setup is good -- minor tweaks only. To potentially do better I'd have to go to a guitar bodied Weber or Northfield at about $3500 up. Quality artisan instrument, great sound, good action. Like all octaves, needs different playing technique than mandolin - play soft!.
