Though it has a look of weathered cast iron or concrete, it is not bronze (maybe steel or aluminum from the color and raggedy inside). Not a deal breaker for me that it is not bronze or spelter - the modeling of the figure was more important - though I am relieved that it can go out in the garden, which is where I hoped to place it. The shipping took longer than I hoped (over 2 weeks) with no communication, but it's here now.
