I tried it out on a 4K disc and a Region-B Blu-ray disc and they worked fine, including the region switching. The only worry I had was that the player was labeled UBD-KB85C instead of the advertised UBD-K8500. The difference seems to be a well-kept secret, but after getting conflicting info from the internet and calls to Samsung, I was able to determined they are the same. I’m happy!
