Hat arrived in a suitable sized box considering it didn't come with a shape saver insert. Shape saved. It's a good looking hat and is real leather. The top is hardened leather but the brim is wire rimmed and its the wire that guides the shape. That part surprised me as it is not in the description. The brim leather is not stiffened and feels rather thin. For the money, this is a nice hat. Shaping options are limited but it depends on the shape you want; I prefer near flat, not with this hat.
