Questa è la storia di due artisti, di un amore, e anche di un pezzo di Italia. Gino era un bohémien figlio del proletariato, viveva in una soffitta con una gatta, scorbutico e sempre vestito di nero. Ornella veniva dalla Milano bene, gran classe, capelli rossi, un po' stufa di essere solo "la cantante della mala". Si incrociarono e non si seppero resistere. Lui scrisse per lei "Senza fine". Poi si separarono e, ognuno per la propria strada, andarono a fare la storia della musica italiana. In questo libro, scritto in collaborazione con Enrico de Angelis, Ornella e Gino si osservano, si interrogano, si confrontano, fino a raccontare e rivelare gli aspetti più malinconici e spregiudicati di due vite straordinarie e della loro lunga storia d'amore.
