The hanger are to stiff and don't absorb the vibration from muffler. The oem hangers are way better for muffler install and are specifically designed to absorb the vibration which help with muffler drone. Also if you smell something weird it probably the hanger melting. I ended removing hanger and reusing original oem hangers which reduced the muffler drone a lot.
