I did have to use a pair of multi grips on the knurled nut to perform the initial stretch but that was to be expected and I managed to stretch an Akubra without any issues. I did use steam to help the process in 3 separate stages. The only criticism is Australia Post where they sent the parcel to my destination in Queensland via Tasmania, consequently it was over the expected delivery time.
