Difficile definire Giancarlo Maiocchi, alias Occhiomagico, se non spiegando che si tratta di un artista prestato alla fotografia. O, forse, è altrettanto vero che è un autentico fotografo per la sua capacità di scavare in profondità fino a cogliere l'essenza stessa dell'immagine. Il surrealismo è l'ambito in cui si muove da sempre, il richiamo ad altre espressioni artistiche - dalla pittura alla scultura, dal teatro alla musica - la caratteristica di un autore che, non smettendo mai di sperimentare, riesce sempre a sorprendere. Per quanto non sia stato mai fermo nella sua incessante ricerca, Occhiomagico ha mantenuto una straordinaria coerenza di fondo così che molte sue immagini, se ne venisse cancellata la data di realizzazione, potrebbero essere rimescolate in una diversa sequenza secondo una logica-domino che non gli è estranea. Il volume è accompagnato da testi di Roberto Mutti e Gianni Romano.
